Branded in the Social Imagination...

If you are like most sheeple people, then you live branded. You live for the brand/label. You wear it, you smell it, you run in it, you make love in it, you eat and drink it... its your god.

Sociologist Max Weber observed that social identity (belonging to a group) is not about having money or wealth equality that defines you as a member that makes you feel part of the group. Weber knew that people want and need to have meaning in their life and that stems from the innate desire to believe in something greater than yourself. Hence, belonging to a group is the only means for this kind of longing and aspiring to take place.

People seek this identity and most often it is found easily as most people are born into; but,  even so, such identity had a start and was developed over time. Again, any group or socio-cultural group that is recognizable 'stable' as in having continuity over time as such must initially have begun with a kick off or a launch event, just like the launch of a new product...good PR makes a good beer commercial.

You see, people don't really want money. They just want to be seen and heard as an individual but more so as a member of a group. The only way they can stand out is by being a member of a group. Whether we are talking about their 'ingroup' or another group's recognition.

Essentially, every man and woman on the face of the earth wants that and the position and power that goes with it; at least over their own life and life decisions because that means something to them.

Weber was onto that truth! People act on, do things, based on their belonging to something greater than themselves. They want and need to believe as an individual and also as a member of a group. Then, they spend a lot of time time developing who they are and are not. And, that has very little to do with money. But, money helps the cause ... even a good PR person understands that.

Again, its not about having money as much as its about how a person spends their time and any money that follows. Again... its about how you spend your time with the money you have that allows you to define yourself (personalizing as in customizing) in a group that is   defined by its members and that means something.

Hence, branding is a huge aspect of our identity. Brands enable people to connect with their group or wanna be group. Whether its done through the promo of super expensive to cheap knock offs goods doesn't matter: perfume, cologne, t-shirts, bumper stickers etc., what matters is that brands make us feel like we are part of a group and better if they make us feel part of the elite group or at least part of their noble cause... whether its really objectionably noble or not doesn't matter.

Here is where it gets hilariously dangerous. You see, today people are being socially, globally, poltically and racially branded by ruling elites. They launched their campaign with cv one niner and its jab. It began the new social, global, political and racial 'brand'.

Sure, people will say that's not true. But, brands and their logos are absolutely real to those who find meaning in them and the elites know that. That's why many sheeple/people will be and are willing to kill or die for them.

Do you think you have been branded??? Take a good look at your life and you will see just how branded you have become. Over time, brands have been and are changing the world as we know it and the one thing that stands true is that some 'elite' people will reap the benefits of brands and the brand you become.

My advice... don't take the mark!
