Fringe Science and Abominations in the Social Imagination...

What has, catapulted, blazed the trail and or opened the door for customization of the self? Today's technology and most of that stems from the appearance of fringe science; what the bible deems as abominations. Fringe science, what is that?

Sometimes fringe sciences are accepted and become mainstream. Say what? How has that opened the door for customization of the self? It appeals to change, radical freedom, supernatural individualization seemingly dismissing death; the inevitable end, the fundamental anxiety. To run from death, most people are willing to do anything and that includes committing abominations in the sight of God whom they deny exists. 

Fringe Sciences, according to many are about unlocking the full potential of the human brain. This branch of fringe science stems from the hypothesis that the human brain is infinitely capable, but certain social and physical factors prohibit us from reaching our full potential. Who isn't attracted to that, right? Those that are attracted seek either to live forever or to really live here and now or both!

We humans have been using drugs in an attempt to access our whole brains for about as long as we’ve been on this planet. And, speaking of drugs, bioweapons are within the framework of fringe science...  not new though. Bio weaponization is nothing new! During the Middle Ages, invading armies would fling plague-ridden corpses over castle walls. 

We see this happening now, don't we? How is that connected with the desire to live customized and that includes forever? Its the latest and probably the last frontier and if you can't get on board then get rid of those that don't find it attractive or just won't play along with change, a new world order of things and that includes people.

Why call it abominations? Proverbs 6:16–19 lists seven things which are known as abominations: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."

Yes, indeed... there are those spreading strife among brothers. Causing lockdowns, masking, jabbing and shedding of innocent blood. Wicked schemes and lying tongues are mainstream. Numbers don't add up in a world where fringe science takes over using techno babel as in alphabet terminology for a tech-vax. Many are or will get on board with it as they see it as part of or having to do with the customization of the self; and in fact, in some way, its the largest part of self customizing; especially after one puts so much time and money into it... one wants to preserve it. 

Funny, how easy it is to get people like that on board with a scheme that ultimately leads to destruction. But, who knows, they may be made to believe its all part of their customization; all good things come to an end, don't they? The last abomination, a thing that causes torment. There will be those who will seek death but will not find it ~ Rev. 9:6.

Customization of the Self in the Social Imagination...

For those of you that don't know my research, I dedicated my dissertation to the Social Imagination; not the Sociological Imagination but just the social imagination. Why? Because, therein we find the social reality, at least that which we agree on among or with others. It all happens in our mind, the locus of society as Charles H. Cooley described it. Whose mind? Well, if you are into yourself, then just you. But, if you are into a broader perspective then all of those who recognize themselves as much as you.

In my research about the 'western' social imagination which is opposite to eastern if you know what I mean in terms of civilization and geography, I proved what Max Weber posited. Which is that western man is about mastery or rejection and or both of the world as he/she finds it. This is so true especially in light of American Manifest Destiny. 

Man moved from his spiritually socio-political polluted home in Europe and set out to free him/herself from it only to reset it abroad in a vast new landscape. In those early days, the new Euro man/woman was essentially doing what he/she does now... customizing the land and their personhood in/on it. Oh, the great so called pioneer. Since that time, we have effectively run out of frontier... we have turned on ourselves. 

We have turned on our own minds and body seeking to customize them as we did to the land and concept of personhood in/on it. This is the last frontier and most likely such behavior will ultimately lead to self destruction. 

What do I mean by customization of the self? I mean the agenda to self describe, self decorate, self-proclaim, self-determine, self-adjust, self-motivate, and self love. Now, make no mistake... I am not suggesting that communism is the answer. That is a different kind of self as the State. A monster selfie of unimaginable proportion. 

The customization of the self as described here is a destruction of the self God created as He intended.  Whether you believe or not...preferring evolution is not the problem. Self destruction will still come at the rate of customization. 

There is only one upside 'eternal life' for those that believe that there is a Creator who loves them  and is the only one who can save them from such destruction. Those that prefer evolution will meet death without hope of resurrection. And, you may ask... to what will anyone be resurrected to? Eternal life wherein the self will be fully satisfied with itself. 

So, if you are customizing yourself these days... repent/rethink it and learn to love yourself as God created you. Now you may ask, isn't customizing yourself just being you and if you get others to agree that you have a right to do that then everyone is somehow the same in terms of customizing. Isn't that agreement reality?

Yes and no. Yes, because agreement is the key to reality; and no, because its not just about agreeing with yourself and imagining that you have a right to get others to agree with you because you are just being yourself.  Rather, its knowing yourself as an individual within a group who has the right to be recognized as such but not as an island of unrecognizable customized selfish behavior. 

The more viable and stable social agreement reality is about being a member of a body having essential parts that when they function accordingly, they equal the same thing which is one recognizable body of recognizable parts.  

As of right now, as of today, we seem to only agree that everyone has a right to be themselves whatever that is and there is no one body for anyone to be a member of. See what I mean? Now, of course you can make the argument that someone can be itself as a thing (as in recognizable as a 'thing' or recognizable unto it self as a thing) but would such a thing even recognize itself as a self or a thing after such unique or even radical customization?

I am talking about the utter and total destruction of the self as created by God for becoming a thing that can be only recognized as a thing but what kind of thing is anyone's guess. In sum, we can probably agree that we have finally reached the end of ourselves... the end of Manifest Destiny having turned on ourselves in such a way there is no destiny to have. 

Diatribes in the Social Imagination...

No, a diatribe is not a tribe in the Amazon but I am sure you can find plenty of books on liberal or conservative diatribes on Amazon...   

Diatribe ~ A verbal onslaught... 

Diatribe in a sentence ~ The man's diatribe brought shame and embarrassment to his family. The presidential candidate made a diatribe against the opposing party, causing there to be even more anger between the parties.

Diatribes are used to criticize someone, an idea, or something. They are aggressively and sarcastically worded often having a tone of violence. They can be written down but are mostly verbal. 

Diatribes are used to point out failures, weaknesses, inaccuracies, and other negatives about a subject. Its incredible to think that someone can 'go off' on someone else simply because of their choice in food, restaurants, choice in music, in lifestyles, clothing, friends, political party affiliations, beliefs, and just plain ideas that someone suggests and someone else doesn't like very much. 

Sometimes, especially if the diatribe is particularly harsh, its critique may not be helpful but will rather leave a very big impact in the meaning that people won't forget it. Now, consider that diatribes can thus be a weapon, a tool, a strategy to get something done, to get you to do what they want, to steer people in another direction,.. etc. 

If that is the case, we can observe this everywhere and especially as we look to the mainstream media and other places/institutions as well. Can we observe this as we look at Hollywood and Washington? Yes, we can! And, now you see what I mean or what I am getting at. Just when you thought your guy/gal was delivering the 'righteous' diatribe. Darn!

Why would a diatribe be used as a tool in conversation as in the art of persuasion? Well, isn't it obvious? Isn't that the virtual signaler? Yeah... Do they get you do think the way they want you think, to behave and to act the way they want? Yes, they do if you are gullible as in the type to be so easily fooled. 

Who has been the best at this art of diatribing? Some say that loud mouth from that other party and some say that new enchantress in this party.  Some say its a combination of voices diatribing in unison like a flock of seagulls or crows for a better nuisance. 

What is their agenda? To get you on board with their tribe... so you can learn to speak good diatribe right along with them. Folks... Do not put your trust in mortal man who cannot save ~ Psalm 118:17. Why? Because, in a fallen world, fallen men spin nonsense and so "a dog will return to its own vomit"... Proverbs 26:11.
